Ready to Run

Arrma 3s

Arrma offers the Typhon, Vorteks, Granite, and Big Rock all based on this same platform.  You can go from buggy to truggy to monster truck. I 100% believe this is the sweet spot for 90% of folks bashing.  Small enough to have fun in most yard, priced reasonably, parts are plentiful and cheap - they just check all of the boxes.

6s Arrma Kraton

Want to go bigger?  Want more speed, bigger jumps, more power?   This is the one right here!   The Kraton is the 1/8 bashing KING.  There is simply no other vehicle that offers this mix of speed, durability, and versatility.  I have personally bashed one of these on Saturday, and raced it on Sunday.     If you really want a buggy instead, of course there is a 6S Arrma Typhon version as well.

X-Maxx

Want the biggest and baddest?   This is where you deviate from the Arrma brand.  Yes - they have the 8S Outcast and Kraton - but my personal experience hasn't been good with those.   Instead, go with the X-Maxx.   Warning:  this is not for new folks to RC...this is not for folks with small spaces to drive...this is not for folks unwilling to fix vehicles.   The X-Maxx will have you doing things you never thought you would do.   It is a bad influence...

Budget

OK, OK.   I get it, maybe a $1000 X-Maxx is out of your price range.  That is legit.   There is a WIDE range of super-budget bashers that are surprisingly fun.   Just know the limitations you are getting into with these.  The speed and overall performance will be a lot lower.   That said, these are great ways to have some fun on a budget!

  • Arrma Gorgon

2WD instead of 4WD, but you still get a lot of that Arrma fun at a fraction of the price.

  • Hyper Go

This brand produces a lot of different smaller-scale vehicles that really out-perform their price point!
